Detailed Evaluative Report on the EBB Workshops

We are pleased to announce the publication of the Evaluation Report on the EBB Workshops delivered as part of the Essays Beyond Borders Erasmus+ project.

The report presents the findings of the evaluation of workshops delivered across Malta, Belgium, Italy, Slovenia, and the Netherlands, examining their educational impact on participants from post-secondary education, higher education, and the general public.

Drawing on responses from 335 pre-workshop and 258 post-workshop questionnaires, the report explores participants’ writing backgrounds, learning experiences, perceptions of the essay as a literary form, and evaluations of the workshops. It also provides a comparative analysis of the project’s implementation across partner institutions and reflects on the role of essayistic writing in fostering creativity, critical thinking, personal expression, and civic engagement.

The report represents an important milestone for the project and contributes to the growing international conversation on essay studies, creative writing pedagogy, and writing education.
